The Future Without The Past

I looked back for a moment

I had to do it to clear my head

I looked back for a moment

And the things that I thought I couldn’t bare to leave behind me

were all silent

they suffered no burdens

at least in this life

 all emotions towards them were dead.

I looked back for a moment

Cause if I hadn’t, it would have been difficult to clear my mind

I looked back for just a moment

Not to reminisce , much less unwind.

I looked back for a moment,

I did it purely out of respect

For it is to the lessons of my journey

to whom I solely owe a debt.

I looked back for a simple moment

And saw that the future without the past is ok

therefore I turned my self right back around and continued on my way.
